And it absolutely, definitely, seriously, no-kidding-around-on-this-one, ROCKS!! The only thing I have against Bleach, and so I put a 9 Vote to it, is that I don't like long series, such as Naruto or One Piece. The real "second season" of Bleach comes around the 105th episode or so. You can watch it, but it will not add much to the real story. At least, not as good as the non-filler anime. So, how does this affect the anime? Bleach, starting in chapter 63 or so, begins what is commonly known as a "filler": chapters on the anime that are not drawn in the manga, created with the sole purpose of giving the author time to finish the manga. Bleach manga writer, Kubo Tite, is still drawing Bleach. Rukia, as all other Shinigamis, dedicates her time to slay Hollows, monsters that devour human souls. This ability will find itself enhanced one night that Ichigo accidentally meets Kuchiki Rukia, a Shinigami (Death God). Kurosaki Ichigo, a middle-schooler from Karakura Town, has a very rare ability: he can see dead people. But Bleach, far from letting me down, got me even more hooked to the story. Usually, when I watch an anime AFTER I read the manga, I get a little bit disappointed, because of poor animation, misplaced character voice acting, etc. Kon demonstrated the strength of this virtue when he was willing to sacrifice his life and Ichigo's body to save a group of ants that were about to be squished by a Hollow.I first saw the Bleach manga, and I was absolutely trapped by the story, mixture of Saint Seiya, Dragon Ball, Samurai 7 even though Bleach has a signature of its own. Kon's tragic past has given him a deep appreciation of life, which guides his belief that all life is precious. Witnessing and surviving the extinction of his fellow Mod-Souls left Kon traumatized, and he lived his life in fear of being disposed of until meeting Ichigo Kurosaki and company, who accepted him and acknowledged his individuality. It is revealed that, during his time amongst the normal Gikon pills, Kon was aware of the fate of his exterminated peers. Kon's.unique interactions with fan-favorite female characters Rukia and Orihime further lend itself to this idea.ĭespite his comedic leanings, Kon's character is nuanced by a serious backstory and motivations. Considering the fact that, after his introduction, he took the form of a plushie for the majority of the series, one could argue that Tite Kubo's intention with Kon's character was to create a series mascot. Despite the original programming of the Mod-Souls and his many useful skills, Kon largely serves as comedic relief.
