![]() ![]() Just the small software suite encapsulating the driver, presumably for ease of use, interface and access to configuration and compatiblity. After the EULA, there was no gimmicks, sales pushes, requests for personal info, junkware etc. The ancillary software, processes, tasks and services seem nominal and not intrusive. Since then I have turned the MS Security Essentials and Firewall back on without issue. However the progress bars were advancing, if slowly, the whole time. Once validated, it took oddly long to download the suite of software 10 minutes on a 3 Mbps downstream connection. What did NOT work for me in resolving this was turning on Windows Update, and Windows Driver search returned no available drivers for it of its own. The earbud inline mic appears to be working also and all is connected, however I still have to refine some system mic recognition trivia nce threre is enough charge to do it. Technically, scientifically speaking, I can't even say for certain there is any association. It was just a hunch, and I cannot say this will work for anyone else. I am not especially tech savvy, so I do not know which was obstructing the task, or both. I turned off my Windows Firewall and MS SecurityEssentials real time protection, rebooted and it passed validation and downloaded and installed the necessary software. Stalling at device validation(infinitely) I am happy to report that I resolved my problem of: ![]()
